Mary Livingstone MacDonald, Age 86, of Woburn, the wife of the late Colin P. “Mac” MacDonald, passed away Sunday, November 7, peacefully at the home of her daughter Jean Bratton of Chelmsford.
Present were her daughters Jean Bratton and Colleen DiLorenzo of No. andover, Their husbands Raymond W. Bratton and Antimo Steven DiLorenzo, and her seven grandchildren.
Born in Little Judique, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia in 1918, the daughter of Malcolm and Margaret (Beaton) Livingstone, she was raised in a traditional Gaelic speaking Scottish-Catholic Family, and was baptized and married at St. Peter´s Roman Catholic Church in Port Hood, Nova Scotia.
She moved to Woburn in 1952 where she was a prishioner of St. Charles Boromeo Church. Her kindness, laughter, wisdom, wit, compassion and love of life were a great inspiration to all who knew her and indelibly touched many.
She will be missed and remembered, in thought and prayer. In addition to her daughters, she was the grandmother of seven, including, P. Scott Bratton Esq. and his wife Catherine Tager of Carlisle, Cheryl DiLorenzo Pazzanese and her husband Daniel of North Tewksbury, Victoria Bratton of Ayer, Steven DiLorenzo and his wife Diane of Salem, NH, Diane DiLorenzo Moszka of Methuen, Douglas Bratton and his wife Christine of Hudson, NH, and Paul DiLorenzo and his wife Susan of Westford. She was also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren whom she loved and inspired. She is survived by her brother, Colin Livingstone of Halifax, Nova Scotia and was pre-deceased by four siblings all of Canada.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church 280 Main St. Woburn at 10:30. Services will conclude with burial at Pine Ridge Cemetery. Chelmsford.
