WAYLAND: Mary I (Gennaro) Teti, died peacefully and comfortably with her daughter by her side on Saturday, May l0, 2014.
She was born in Italy the daughter of the late Dominic Gennaro and Carmela M (Letteri) Gennaro.
Mary was the loving and devoted wife of the late Joseph M “JOE” Teti who died on April 15, 2014 and with whom they would of celebrated 50 years of marriage in July of this year. She was the cherished mother of Rosemarie Teti. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Nancy (Siok) Teti wife of the late Nicholas O Teti and his family. She was the sister of Anthony Gennaro and Nicholas Gennaro and the late George Gennaro; John Gennaro and Vincenzina Candido. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mary has been a resident of Wayland for over 65 years and previously resided in Sudbury after coming to the United States at the age of eleven.
In her earlier years, Mary was associated with Raytheon in Waltham in the Glass Tubing Division for 29 years before leaving to raise her family. She retired after 15 years of dedicated service for the Town of Wayland School Department as a cafeteria assistant at the Wayland Junior High School.
Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt to her family which was the center of her life and she enjoyed all the time spent with them. She will be fondly remembered by all of those who loved and cared for Mary.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, May l5, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the John C Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (OFF ROUTE 30) WAYLAND.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 9:00 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish at Saint Zepherin Church, 99 Main St, (ROUTE 27) Wayland.
Interment to follow in the Teti family lot in Lakeview Cemetery.
Her family suggests that memorial gifts in Mary’s memory may be sent to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St, Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 would be greatly appreciated.
