John O. Turner, Jr., 75, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Turner was born November 5, 1938, in Tifton, Georgia to the late John Ozie and Inez Smith Turner. He lived in the community most of his life and was an electrician. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Turner was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Bonnie Turner of Fitzgerald; children: John W. & Shelia Turner of Fitzgerald, Teresa & Carol Cato of Albany, Terry & Penny Turner of Fitzgerald and Jason Turner of Omega; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry & Sara Turner of Enigma and Eddie & Jennie Turner of Ocilla; three sisters: Wilma Sherouse of Gainesville, Florida, Glenda & Ray Briel of Gainesville, Florida and Paula & James Riley Daniels of Ocilla. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Tony Turner and Jeffery Glen Turner.
