Carol Ann Epperly

Carol Ann Epperly departed this life on May 8, 2014, surrounded by her husband and loving family at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN. She died from a long battle with lung disease.
Carol was born August 2, 1941 in Anderson to Alta Gayle (Bowlby) and Roy Kenneth Nugent.
Carol retired in 1997 after thirty-four years from Guide Lamp. She was a member of UAW Local 663 and was a member of Christian Congregation Church in Alexandria, IN. She was also a licensed beautician and attended Anderson High School.
Carol was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. She loved to go camping and anything to do with the outdoors. She was always on the go and tried to help anyone with whom she came into contact. All the neighborhood animals, dogs, cats and squirrels were fed and taken care of by Carol. She would always have a bag of treats for any stray she saw, but the greatest joy in her life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of thirty years, James B. Epperly; Daughter, Kenra (Tom Hutchison) Humble of Indianapolis, IN; Son Dan (Tina) Stanley of Alexandria, stepson, Michael (Toni) Epperly of Greenville, SC; stepdaughter, Kandi Brock of Bonneau, SC; She is also survived by her grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Kristopher (Heidi) Barnett, Keith (Krystal) Barnett; Lauren Stanley (Fiancé, Jeremy Ormsby) Megan(Brent) Smith, James Michael Epperly, Lisa Craigo, Tiffany Richburg and Jessica Brock, great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Eli and Gwenyth Barnett, Tess and Conner Craigo, Cami, Noah and Phoenix Brock. Also surviving are sister, Kenara Nugent, Stepmother, Betty Nugent, sister-in-law, Judy Nugent, niece Vicki (Jim) Baker and nephews Mark (Janet) Nugent and Mike (Marlene) Nugent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Larry Nugent, baby daughter, Kathleen Stanley and stepson, Bart Epperly.
The family would like to thank the wonderful ICU nurses at Community Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion of Carol, also Dr. Bakdash and Dr. Kabir.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 13 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jerry Young officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 12 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christian Congregation Church in Alexandria.
