Obituary

SUTTON___Viktoras Kamaitis, 90, of 29 Wheelock Rd., died Sunday Nov. 7 in Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Dr., Worcester.

He leaves a sister, Genavaite Alesiene in Lithuania and nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Klemensas Kamaitis of Sutton in 2000, Vincas Kamaitis of Sutton in 2002 and Helen Kamaitis of Webster in 2002. He was born and raised in Lithuania, son of Pranas and Petronela (Andruskeviciute) Kamaitis and later lived in England before coming here in 1954.

Mr. Kamaitis was a building service worker 25 years for St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He retired in 1979. He also worked on the family farm in Sutton. He once lived in England seven years and worked as a farmer there. He was educated in Lithuania and was a Lithuanian Army veteran.

He was a member of St. Casimir Church, Worcester a life member of the Lithuanian Charitable Society and a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, Worcester.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday Nov. 10 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. Worcester with a Mass at 12:30 P.M. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Worcester. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. A calling hour will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
