Harold J. ‘Biz’ Konkol, 65, of Front St., formerly of Sutton, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 in his home. He leaves behind his children; Julie Lulu of Dudley, Joy Kochinskas of Charlton, John Lanoue of FLA., and Karen Sisko of Auburn and Judy.
He also leaves 3 sisters; Dolores A. White of FLA., Jeanette Konkol-Saad of Oxford, and Kathleen L. Konkol-Saad of Webster, 2 brothers; Robert W. Konkol of Wilsonville, Ct., and Julius J. ‘Bud’ Konkol , Jr. of Charlton. 8 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family of his long time companion Joyce Demers who died in 2011. He is also predeceased by a grand-daughter, Brittany.
Harold was born in Worcester a son of the late Julius J. ‘Bud’ and Aurore A. (Thibeault) Konkol. Sr. and lived in Sutton for many years before moving to Oxford several years ago.
He was a hard worker , a man of few words, and loved his scratch tickets and going to the casino. He was always available for his kids and grandchildren, whether they needed him to babysit or if they needed a ride to work or a friends house or to be picked up from school. He worked at the former Webster Spring Co. in Oxford and for RK Construction.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9AM to 10:30 AM in The ROBERT J. MILLER – CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd. followed by a Service at 11:00 AM in the Charlton City United Methodist Church, 74 Stafford St.
