Frances Cadle Normand, “Myma”, age 87, peacefully passed away on May 7, 2014.
Frances was born in Covington Ga and later moved to Augusta after marrying in 1946. Frances loved gardening, fishing, tennis, bowling, golf, traveling and UGA football games. Her home was always open to others and filled with love. She had a servant's heart giving so generously to her church and caring for others. She had boundless energy in writing letters, making calls, and visiting folks all over Georgia to bring a new beginning for Columbia County by the establishment of Wesley United Methodist Church. She will be fondly remembered for hosting fish frys and driving a golf cart at the annual Easter Egg Hunt.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday May 10, 2014 at 11 am at Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, Georgia. Burial will be at Westover Memorial Park, Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Robert Brooker Cadle and Brunnon Charles Normand.
Survivors include: Sons; Chuck and Elaine Cadle ,Joe and Nancye Cadle . Grandchildren; Alicia and Peter Karpick; Jeff and Andrea Cadle: Jason Cadle, Brooke and Daniel Peck; Jackie and Ryan Padilla and Jason Cadle. Great grandchildren; Ethan and Kai Karpick, Riley and Tyler Cadle, JB Peck and Nathan Cadle.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cadle, Jeff Cadle, Michael Geiger, Peter Karpick, Ryan Padilla, and Daniel Peck. Honorary pallbearers will be the Charter Members of Wesley United Methodist Church.
The family wishes to give a heartfelt thanks to all her loving and compassionate caregivers during the past 6 years and especially the staff of Kentwood Nursing Home and Elmcroft Assisted Living.
They will receive friends at Platt's Funeral Home in Evans, GA on Friday May 9th from 6 to 8 pm.
