Frances “Fran” Judge Abbott age 82 of Windham, NH, died Saturday at the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH.
She was born in Peekskill, NY, where she grew up and attended school. She was a resident of Windham, NH for the past 18 years, formerly of Peekskill, NY.
Mrs. Abbott was a retired 1st Grade School Teacher for the Peekskill, NY School System, where she worked for over 25 years. She graduated from State University at New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She received her Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York City. She was very active in community affairs and a founder of the Peekskill Cultural Enrichment Program. She was a violinist for the Peekskill Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Junior Women’s Club & Women’s Club, Colonial Crewel Circle, and Garden Club. She was also a docent for Constitution Island.
She was a member of the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Salem, NH, where she was very active in music and education. She was a member of the Windham, NH Women’s Club and she belonged to several Bridge Clubs.
She is survived by her Husband Conwell W. “Deke” Abbott of Windham, NH

1 Daughter: Ruth & her Husband Daniel Clark of Reading, MA
7 Grandchildren, 1 Great Granddaughter
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 2 PM at the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, Zions Hill Road, Salem, NH.
