Anne L. (Demers) (Nickelson) Tasillo, age 63 of Abington, died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Robert D. Tasillo of Abington. Anne was raised in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late George and Grace (McCarthy) Demers. She had been a resident of Abington for 16 years, previously living in Raynham.
Anne was a 1969 graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School. She was a homemaker for many years, caring for her two daughters. Anne loved animals and for more than 20 years she worked as a manager at veterinary hospitals. She had a love for gardening and was a very active member of the Abington Garden Club, most recently holding the position of Recording Secretary. Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, cooking, and being at the ocean.
In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Burke and her husband David of Weymouth and Rebecca Ponte and her husband Christopher of Vermont; three grandchildren Samantha and Matthew Burke and Mason Ponte and a sister Mary Catherine Silva and her husband John of Swansea.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday from 10am – 12pm followed by a funeral service at 12pm.
