Claude J. Fougere, of Malden, formerly of Medford, died Monday, May 5. Born in Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Marceline (LeBlanc) Fougere. Claude proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Coakley) Fougere and devoted father of Richard Fougere and his wife Susan of Arlington, Maryellen Beasley of North Andover, Claudia DeSantis and her husband Richard of Malden, Kenneth Fougere and his wife Stephanie of Weymouth, Margaret Moran and her husband Robert of Malden, William Fougere of Wellesley, Joanne Atkinson and her husband Richard of Wilmington. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren and 6 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Ethel Donato of York, ME, Raymond Fougere of Medford, Ester Bergen of Denmark, ME, Theresa Roche of Ipswich and the late Madeline Cutts.
A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, May 12 at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 8:30-10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
