Meredith----Beatrice Smolnik Wilson, 92, of Golden View Health Care Center, died at Concord Hospital on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
Mrs. Wilson was born January 13, 1922 in Claremont, N.H., the daughter of the late Walter and Stessia (Cherach) Smolnik.
Mrs. Wilson resided in Bellows Falls, Vermont, for several years before moving to Meredith forty-nine years ago where she was co-owner of “Basket World” for twenty-six years before retiring. She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church, Laconia.
Mrs. Wilson enjoyed dancing with her husband, Sam, at many places in the Lakes Region.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney S. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Meredith, and Walter “Terry” C. Wilson and his wife, Evelyn, of Gilford; four grandchildren, Gregory Wilson , Eric Wilson, Christina Wilson and Stephanie Wilson Selleck; four great grandchildren, Dylan, Christian, Addie and Daxter; four nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Sanford “Sam” Wilson, Sr. on November 20, 2004; two brothers, Walter Smolnik and Zigmund Smolnik and two sisters, Ida Baldasaro and Virginia Miner.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 10:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, N.H.
