Eddie Dale Hutton, 63, of Alexandria died on May 5, 2014 at Ball Memorial Hospital of an extended illness.
He was born on May 20, 1950 in New Castle, Indiana to Gene and Janie (Beck) Hutton.
He worked at Guide Lamp for 30 years before retiring in 2000.
He attended occasionally at Eastview Church of the Nazarene. He was the love of his wife's life and high school sweetheart, enjoyed the outdoors, campfires, and his grandchildren. He especially like taking country rides trying to spot the first deer. He was artistic, imaginative, and a creative man. He was not only an amazing father to our family but to all the neighborhood kids. His storytelling will be remembered by many.
He is survived by wife of 40 years, Debbie (Lame) Hutton of Alexandria whom he married on December 22, 1973; Mother, Janie (Beck) Hutton; 2 daughters, Kimberly (Greg) Sylvester and Keturah (Todd) Letsinger; Grandchildren, Dillon Sylvester, Kylah Sylvester, Elliana Letsinger and one baby girl due in September; Uncle, Harold (Alberta) Hutton; Aunt, Clara May (Dave) Blessing; Cousin "Aunt", Dr. Marie McCord; Mother-in-law, Melba Lame; 2 Sister-in-laws, Sherry (Dave) Klinefelter and Dee (Max) Frazee; 2 Nieces, Amber (Eric) Simons and Sierra Frazee and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Hutton and several uncles.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Chapman officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
