WEBSTER – June M. “June Bug” (White) O’Brien, 79, died Monday, May 05, 2014 in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. Her husband of 50 years, Thomas R. O’Brien, died in 2011.
She leaves a daughter, Deborah A. Champagne of Florida; six grandchildren, twins Michael J. Shelburne and his wife Rachael, Nicholas R. Shelburne and his wife Aleshia, John H. Wetherbee, Shawn P. Wetherbee, Johnny A. Lugo, Jr. and Stephanie Lugo; 3 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Emma and Connor Shelburne; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Lebanon, NH, the daughter of Armand and Mary White. She moved to Webster in 1961. She graduated from high school and took further courses to become a licensed practical nurse.
Mrs. O’Brien worked at Hubbard Regional Hospital for over 35 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 8, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:15 to 9:15 Thursday morning in the funeral home.
