Eston Young, 89, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Life Care Center of Fitzgerald.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.
Mr. Young was born November 22, 1924 in Osierfield, to the late Sam and Elizabeth Troup Young. He lived in the community all of his life. He was a farmer and also a bus driver. Mr. Young served his country honorably, in the United States Army, during WWII. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by sons: Jerry & Felecia Young of Fitzgerald and Jim & Janice Young of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Nichole Harper, Jeff Young, Jon Young and Jennifer Howell; great-grandchildren: Peighton Harper and Jackson Howell; a brother: Ezra & Ruby Young of Osierfield and a sister: Ruth Y. & Joel Weeks of Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Doris Watson Young, four sisters and a grandson: Jimmy Young.
