John Harold Allison age 84 of Salem, NH, died peacefully at the Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence, MA.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, grew up and was educated in North Andover, MA, where he graduated from Johnson High School. He later graduated from Lowell Technical College, with a degree in engineering. Harold was a resident of Salem for 30 years, having also lived in Raymond, NH for 18 years.
Harold was a salesman for Bolta a division of General Tire in Lawrence, MA. He also worked for Permuthane in Peabody, MA. After his retirement, Harold worked at Rowe’s Gas Station in Fremont, NH.
Harold was a former member of the Salem Lions Club. He loved golf, skiing, boating, and was an avid New England sports fan. Most of all, Harold’s family was most important to him, and he loved being with them.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Faye J. (Hancock) Allison of Salem, NH
Children: Glenn and his wife Donna Allison of Pepperell, MA, Deborah and her husband Dennis Sweeney of Salem, NH, and Gail and her husband John Sjostrom of Salem, NH.
Grandchildren: Daniel, Jay, Eric, Sean, Allison, Kimberley, and Nicholas
Great Grandsons: Ethan, Connor, and Ryder
Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, May 7th from 10:00 AM- 12 PM, followed by a memorial service at 12 Noon at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Urn burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover, MA.
