Vernon Cleo Revell, age 90, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at Life Care of Fitzgerald, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 4PM, Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Elder Paul Thomas and Rev. Otis Clifton officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will be receiving friends from 2-4 PM, Monday, May 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mr. Revell was born on October 3, 1923 to the late Charlie and Alice Mixon Revell. He was a retired printer with Warner Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA, he loved to fish, camp and most of all he loved his gardening and would share with his friends and neighbors the fruits of it. He was a member of Sturgeon Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He has been in the community since 1966 moving from Brunswick, Ga, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Arthur Mae Harper Revell of Fitzgerald; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Denise Revell of Brunswick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley R. and Terry Reeves of Carrolton, Joyce R. and George Moxley of Rutledge, TN; Step children and their spouses, Ralph McMillian and wife Carolyn of Fitzgerald, Donna Garbo and husband Christopher of Orlando, Florida; twenty five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Susan Mae R. Brannen of Gainesville, Florida. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
