Gerald “Rino” Hixon
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, May 02, 2014, Mr. Gerald “Rino” W. Hixon, Sr., 78, husband to the late Gloria Hazel Hixon.
Mr. Hixon played football and was a 1955 graduate of Academy of Richmond County. He coached and played football for the Augusta Eagles and was an avid fisherman.
Family members include daughter: Julie Hixon-Nelson of Augusta; son: Wayne Hixon of Savannah; grandchildren: Thomas L. Nelson, Jr., Katelyn N. Faircloth; great grandson: Thomas Nelson, III; brother: Donnie G. Hixon; and nephew: Travis Hixon.
A graveside service will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Pastor Bill Hilley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Dr., Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
