Fred Rother age 87 of Salem, NH, died Thursday at the Nevins Nursing Home, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Methuen, MA, where he grew up and attended schools and graduated from Edward F. Searles High School. He was a resident of Salem, NH since 1950.
Mr. Rother was a Commercial Artist for Watts Regulator in North Andover, MA. He also owned and operated Lietz Artist in Lawrence, MA. He was a US Navy veteran, who served his country during World War II. He enjoyed painting, wood working and fixing things. Most of all he loved to work in the yard and rake.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years: Phyllis (Feather) Rother of Salem, NH
Daughters: Sharron and her husband Leo Kamitian of Salem, NH
Laurie and her husband Brian Karcz of Pelham, NH
Grandchildren: Kelly Kamitian, Michelle Wheeler, and Jessica Karcz
Great Grandchildren: Emma and Cora Wheeler
Calling hours will be Sunday, May 4th from 2-4 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral services will be celebrated Monday, May 5th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
