Douglas, Robert L. “Bob”, 80, went home to his Lord, Tuesday April 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Louisville to Ollie & Marjorie (Shouse) Douglas. Bob was a retired Regional Manager for the Metropolitan Parks & Recreation Dept, with 34 years service. He attended the University of Louisville and was a Kentucky Colonel and a U. S. Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and a Brother: Bill Douglas. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Rose M. (Amback) Douglas; his children: Darlene M. Douglas Roth, Robert A. “Tony” Douglas (Tarita), and Robert “Robbie” Probus; 6 Grandchildren: Daniel (Holly), Leah, and Jeremy Toma, Brittany Douglas, Meagan & Laura Caitlin Probus and 1 Great Grandchild. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2:00 – 8:00 PM Expressions of Sympathy: Diabetes Association & American Heart Fund.
