Claire F. Ferguson, 76, of East Bridgewater formerly of Dorchester, passed away surround by her family on May 1st.
She was born and raised in Dorchester, daughter of the late Walter and Edna (Driscoll) Ferguson.
Claire lived in the family home in Dorchester until moving to East Bridgewater 15 years ago. She was employed by the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the claims department for 50 years, in both the Boston and Hingham offices.
She loved to travel to her favorite spots being Hawaii and Arizona and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her brother John Ferguson and his wife Bobbie of NH, her nieces, nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews; also her close friends Alan and Gail Sherman. She was also the sister of the late David Ferguson and Marilyn Wieher.
Her funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 6th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Interment will follow in the New Calvary Cemetery, Boston. Visitation will be on Monday May 5th from 4:00-8:00PM.
