Charles K. ‘Ken’ Wood, 79. passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in his home. He leaves his wife of 36 years; Evelyn C. (Rollins) Wood, their children; Gary Wood and his wife Karen of Charlton, Vincent Wood and his wife Pam of Dudley, John Miller, Jr. and his wife Ginny of Woodstock, CT., Evelyn Wright of Woodstock, CT., Bethanne Wood of Dudley and Carlos Roman of Worcester, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was born in Worcester the son of the late Charles and Elida (Anderson) Wood and grew up in Dudley, graduated from the former Bartlett Vocational High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. His life’s work was his hobby, Ken enjoyed antiques cars and working on cars in general, He was an auto body technician for Southbridge Auto Body, O’Malley’s and A.D.T. and operated his own business at one time and retired several years ago.
He was a member of the Hillcrest Worship Center in Auburn. He also likes to travel to New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine and really enjoyed working around his yard.
Memorial Calling Hours for Ken will be Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 5PM to 7PM in the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd., Charlton, followed by a Memorial Service at 7 PM in the funeral home.
