Mrs. Margaret Rita Daddio, age 81, died Tuesday morning, April 29, 2014 in Medford, after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, Rita was the devoted daughter of the late Mary (Walsh) & James Hurley.
Rita was living most recently in Medford and was formerly of Malden. She was raised and educated in Somerville. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at the Quasar Co. in Westwood. She retired in the late 1980's. Rita and her loving husband Bill owned a home on Cape Cod, in West Yarmouth. They loved to travel, whether vacationing together or on a family trip to see their grandchildren play at different sporting events around the country. Family came first for Rita, especially her loving grandchildren.
Rita is survived by her beloved husband Pellegrino "Bill" Daddio. Devoted mother of Stephen Daddio of Malden, Susan Daddio and her husband Michael Connors of Tewksbury, Linda Magee and her husband Robert of Wilmington. Loving grandmother of Jeffery, his wife Marissa, Kelley and Andrew, Thomas and Carin. Sister of Dorothy Murphy of Dedham and the late John Hurley and Mary Wedge. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Saturday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
