FRESH - Marianne Fresh, 78, passed away Saturday evening, April 26, 2014 at her Fernandina Beach residence.
She was born January 15, 1936 in Aurora, IL and moved to Fernandina Beach 23 years ago from Atlanta, GA.
Memberships include Living Waters Church, Ruby Rose of Amelia Red Hat Society and the Moose Lodge. Mrs. Fresh was a devoted mom and grandma. Her world revolved around her children, grandchildren and her church. She also loved to knit.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles B. Fresh and brothers, Thomas Borter amd John Borter.
Survivors include her children, Virginia A. Muse (Bill) of Fernandina Beach, FL, Thomas E. VanPuymbrouck (Linda) of Newnan, GA and Robert L. VanPuymbrouck (Donna) of Fernandina Beach; a brother, Frederick "Tim" Borter (Lynne) of San Francisco, CA; a sister, Katherine Meyer (Dick) of Sun City, AZ; sisters in law, Joan Borter of Sedona, AZ and Irene Borter of Warrenville, IL; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Goyette officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville.
