Obituary

WORCESTER__John J. Oslowski, 76, of 73 Vincent Circle died Thursday Nov. 4 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave. North.

He leaves seven brothers, Walter Oslowski, William J. Oslowski and his wife Jean, Joseph Oslowski and his wife Jeanine, Stanley Oslowski and his wife Ann, all of Worcester; Henry J. Oslowski and his wife Barbara of Shrewsbury; Raymond P. Oslowski of Leicester and Richard W. Oslowski and his wife Sue of North Dakota; a sister, Rose M. Williams and her husband, Ken of Worcester; several nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Oslowski. He was born in Worcester, son of Boleslaw and Statia (Prachniak) Oslowski and lived here all his life.

Mr. Oslowski was a wire drawer 10 years for Concord Wire Co., and before that was a wire drawer 25 years for Thompson Steel and Wire Co. He retired in 1989.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War where he earned the rank of Technical Sergeant.

Mr. Oslowski was a graduate of Commerce High School. He was a member of Southworks Post 3657 Veterans of Foreign Wars , the White Eagle Association and the Singletary Rod & Gun Club. John loved all outdoor activities.

The funeral will be held on Monday Nov. 8 with a service at 11 a.m. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 8 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
