Gerard Levesque, of Methuen, went home to Our Lord and his beautiful wife Alice on the evening of Saturday, April 26th. Jerry was born in Lawrence, the son of Joseph and Marie (Ouellette) Levesque. He married his bride Alice (Frederick) on September 14th, 1940, and they remained married for 70 years, until death did them part in 2010. Jerry was a truck driver. He owned and operated Jerry & Son Trucking for many years, and kept working even after retirement. He loved cowboy movies, yard work, and "keeping busy around the house." Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Parish in Methuen.
Jerry is survived his children Ernest "Pete" Levesque and his wife Joanne of Methuen, Diane Bernard and her husband Herb of Salem NH, Donald Levesque of Methuen and his fiancée Cindie Darois of Nashua, NH, sisters Aurore Vaudreuil, Irene Piliponis, Blanche Grasello, and Marie Barry, grandchildren Pam Chaisson, Michelle Verzi, Brian Bernard and Charlene Levesque, great grandchildren Alex Gilman, Samantha Gilman, and Nicole Chaisson, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Alice, his brothers, Arthur, Emile, Edmund, and Raymond, and his sisters Jeannette, Pauline, and Cecile.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday April 30th from 4-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday May 1st at 11 AM at Our Lady of Good Council's St Theresa's Church in Methuen, and burial will take place at a later date.
