WEBSTER – Henri H. Brunelle Sr., 82, of Blueberry Hill and formerly of Canterbury St., Worcester died Thursday, November 4 at home after an illness.
He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years Claire R. (Lacroix) Brunelle. He leaves four sons John J. Brunelle of Worcester, Henri H. Brunelle Jr. of Cherry Valley, Allan R. Brunelle and Gary K. Brunelle both of Charlton; three daughters Carole A. Benson of Webster, Jo-Anne Yost of North Grosvenordale, CT. and Susan C. Fearrington of Kapoli, HI; a sister Yvonne Robinson of Worcester; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several niece and nephews. He is predeceased by a son David P. Brunelle. He was born in Worcester son of Ernest and Odena (Cote) Brunelle.
Mr. Brunelle was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the Water Department for the City of Worcester before retiring in 1985. He previously worked as an inspector at Crompton and Knowles.
He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and the Rochdale V.F.W. Post 7556. He enjoyed clocks, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
The funeral will be on Monday, November 8 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois Street, Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Calling hours are Sunday, November 7 from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit, c/o Hermitage Nursing Home, 383 Mill Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
