Charles “Chuck” Irvin
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, April 26, 2014, Charles “Chuck” Eldon Irvin, husband of Carolyn H. Irvin.
Mr. Irvin was a native of New Castle, IN, but lived in Augusta for the past 40 years. He worked and retired as an Electronic Engineer for Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Hospital and the Medical College of Georgia Training Education and T.V. Recording. Mr. Irvin served in the United States Air Force for four years and attended Earlham College. He was a member of the H.E.S.C.A., the S.M.P.T.E. and Garden City Lion’s Club. Mr. Irvin was the past District Governor, having worked on District State and International Projects. He owned the Windhaven Store in Harlem, GA.
Family members in addition to his wife include son: Carl Eugene Irvin. He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl Irvin and Mildred Leisure Irvin and brother: Richard Irvin.
A memorial service will be Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Ron Cui officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind at 1039 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307-3115.
