Katherine Campbell Hervey, age 68, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born October 25, 1945 in Lafayette County, MS to the late James Steen and Maggie Lee Campbell. Katherine was a member of Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, reading, working in her flower gardens and visiting with family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm on Friday at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Golladay officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with her sons and sons-in-law serving as pallbearers.
Katherine is survived by her husband, Harry Hervey of Oxford, MS; her daughters, Paulie Gilliom (Bryan) of Oxford, MS and Yolanda Cobbs (Cedric) of Tupelo, MS; five sons, Anthony Hervey (Paula) of Oxford, MS, Samuel Hervey (Terese) and Barry Hervey (Kim) all of Chicago, IL, Jack Hervey and Harry Hervey both of Monroe, LA; thirty-eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Carol Campbell, Rebecca Hervey and Queen Esther Hervey; two sons, Tyrone Hervey and Theron Campbell.
