Obituary

WESTBOROUGH: Robert N. “Archie” Arcieri, 85, died peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
He was born in South Boston the son of the late Nicholas Arcieri and Linda (Casagrande) Arcieri.
He was the beloved father of Robert F. Arcieri and his wife Gail of Southborough; Diane M. Armenio of Northborough; Lisa M. Arcieri and her husband Scott Brandt of Shrewsbury; Linda M. Dionne of Marlborough and Tina M. Goodwin of Westborough. He was the brother of Ronald Arcieri of Webster and brother-in-law of Dorothy Finn of Westborough. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Morrison) Arcieri who died in September of 1998 and brother of the late Enis Morgan who died in April 1993.
Archie has been a resident of Framingham for over 46 years and previously resided in Natick and in Westborough for the past two years. He spent his formative years in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School. He served his country proudly with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham. He retired in 1994 after 35 years associated with the Bank of Boston as a Senior Vice President of finance. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, enjoyed crossword puzzles and his card club. He also loved to spend time at the ocean and going out with his best friend Dottie. He was an amazing father and a loving and devoted grandfather and great-grandfather to his family and will be greatly missed.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 am at Saint Bridget’s Church, 830 Worcester Road (Rte 9), Framingham.
Interment will follow in the Arcieri family lot in St. Tarcicius Cemetery, Bethany Road, Framingham.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests that memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
