Hudson, MA

Joseph M. Zina, 91, of Hudson, died on Thursday, April 24th at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary (Conway) Zina of Hudson.

Joseph was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Jose and Mary (Alves) Zina. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the former Atlantic Paulson Plastic Co. for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Hudson V.F.W., Member of the Hudson Amvets and life member of Hudson Elks.

Joseph was an avid outdoorsman. He looked forward to the fishing and hunting seasons and also enjoyed playing golf. He took pride in the care of his home and enjoyed gardening in his spare time.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, John Zina and Joseph Zina, both of Hudson. He also leaves his three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Arthur Zina, John Zina and Paul Barretto.


A service and celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Monday, April 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
