Mary A.(Reis) Raposa, age 99 of Fall River passed away April 25, 2014. She was the widow of Joseph Raposa and daughter of the late Manuel and Escolastica (Tavares) Reis. Mary was a homemaker, member of the AARP, a past volunteer at the Charlton Memorial Hospital gift shop and a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
She was the mother of Peter J. Raposa and Margaret Fazzina-Gould of Fall River and Dorothea DiStefano of VA, sister of the late John, Manuel, Anthony and Joseph Reis and Idalina Silvia. She also leaves 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River WEDNESDAY at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com
