William Thomas Willoughby, 86, of South Carolina, formerly of Fitzgerald, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Gravesides services will be held 1 PM, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca, Georgia, with the Rev. Jeff Barker officiating.
Mr. Willoughby was born February 4, 1928, in Turner County, Georgia to the late John Eismon and Flora Lou Crumbley Willoughby. Mr. Willoughby was a former resident of Pasco County, Florida where he worked at Pasco Packing Company and he operated a service station in Dade County, Florida. While living in Fitzgerald, Mr. Willoughby worked for Modern Fibers. He was a member of the Nazarene church.
He is survived by a daughter: Mary Jo Rutherford (Bob) of Eutawville, South Carolina and a son: Thomas Willoughby (Linda) of Fitzgerald; a brother: Willard Willoughby of Rebecca. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Earline Griffin Willoughby and a sister: Louise W. Atkinson.
