Alfred J. Legere, 85, a resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 after a short illness.
Born in Lawrence, MA, Al was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He went on to receive his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Al was a Korean War Veteran having served in the United States Army. He had worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon in Sudbury, MA for many years. Al was a member of the Haverhill V.F.W. and was an avid gardener.
The husband of the late Eileen J. (Golding) Legere, Al is survived by his daughter: Jamie Legere of Haverhill, MA and a sister: Elaine Kane of Salisbury, MA. He was the father of the late C. Scott Legere.
