Artavis Antwan “A. J.” Adams, Jr., 2, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Monday, April 28, 2014 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Steve Freeman officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Monday, from 2 to 4 PM, before the service at the funeral home.
A. J. was born September 1, 2011, in Fitzgerald to Artavis Antwan Adams, Sr. and Brittany Elizabeth Bernagozzi. He loved to play patti-cake and spin in circles on the floor. His favorite movie was Shrek and anything starring Jet Li and he loved giving and receiving kisses.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Layla Adams, Aaliyah Adams and Jiraiya Adams; grandparents: Vernon Adams of Albany, Alleather Redding of Albany, Danielle Sager of Fitzgerald and Michael Sager of Fitzgerald; great-grandparents: Joseph & Sue Bernagozzi of Port St. Joe, Florida, F. W. Fowler of Albany, Ernestine Adams of Albany, Winifred Vosburgh of New York, Carolynn Sager of Fitzgerald; several aunts and uncles including: Kain Sager, Kyle Sager, Jacquelynn Tanner, Raymon Adams, and Cambrell Adams as well as many cousins.
