FRAMINGHAM: Mary Ann (McCormick) Kennally, 82, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham following a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on April 21, 1932 the daughter of the late Henry Francis McCormick and Margaret Christine (Walsh) McCormick.
She was the beloved wife of the late William Clifford Kennally, Jr. who died in September of 1997.
Mary Ann was the devoted mother of William C. Kennally, III and his wife Andrea; Christine K. Weithman and her husband Robert; Kathleen S. Kennally and her husband Roy; Maryellen Wolf and her husband Michael and Vincent H. Kennally and his wife Jennifer. Sister of Rev. John J. McCormick; Margaret C. Callanan and her husband Brendan and Regina Rourke and her husband James. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren 3 nieces and 11 nephews. She was the sister-in-law of John Kennally and his wife Phyllis Kennally. Sister of the late Henry F. McCormick and his late wife Roxanne McCormick.
Mary Ann spent her formative years in Brighton and graduated from St. Columbkille High School. She resided in Framingham for several years as well as living in Natick, Walpole, Naples, FL and Harwich. For many years she was the Office Manager for St. Joseph Church in Needham.
Mary Ann was an avid walker and especially enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She was devoted to her family and delighted in the time spent with them.
Visitations will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27), Wayland. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
