James Robert Wheat, 65 of Anderson died on April 23, 2014 at Community Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on March 5, 1949 in Anderson, IN to Robert E. and Sybil N. (Thompson) Wheat.
He was a Geologist, an environmentalist and a professional wanderer.
Survivors include his 2 children, Gregory (Amy) Wheat and Megan Wheat; 2 brothers, Mike (Debbie) Wheat and Bill (Ann) Wheat; 2 grandchildren, Logan and Ariana Wheat; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be visitation only on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 10:00am- 12:00 noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Cremation will take place.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
