Isolde Clara Adams, née Fink of North Stonington, CT passed from this life peacefully on April 22, 2014 surrounded by family.
She was born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1932, daughter of Otto and Martina Fink and came to this country in 1951. She was a resident of North Stonington since 1963.
She was the wife of Bobby Adams. Besides her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Barbara Martin (William) of Lecanto, FL, Linda Adams (Amy) of Belchertown, MA, Susan Brown (Russell) of Niantic, Michael Adams (Melissa and children) of North Stonington, and Lisa Sunderland (Spencer) of Ashaway, RI, as well as grandchildren Jessica Adams (Erik), David Brown, Rachel and Gavin Sunderland, and Emily Adams.
She was predeceased by her brother, Herbert Fink of Germany.
She loved her flower garden, reading, spending summertime at the cottage in Maine, the company of her dear friends, and taking trips with her children and grandchildren. She had a great appreciation of the arts and culture, and enjoyed a wide variety of music. Since learning to swim at age 50, she became a devoted swimmer up until her recent illness.
Her family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 29 from 5 to 7pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, CT. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 30th at 1pm. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. A gathering for celebration of her life will follow.
