Ruth A. Martin, 84, of Derry, NH died Thursday November 4, 2004 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Martin was born in Methuen, MA on August 10, 1920 a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Holden) Seubert. She had resided in Derry since 1946, formerly living in Salem, NH. Mrs. Martin was predeceased by her husband Robert D. Martin in 1992 and by her first husband, Lawrence R. Pingree, Sr. in 1961. Along with her husbands and her son she had operated the Pingree Dairy Farm in Derry for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Nutfield Grange in Derry. Mrs. Martin was an avid vegetable and flower gardener. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and canning.
She is survived by her son, Butch Pingree of Derry, four daughters, Patty Mantini of Webster, NH, Elaine Latulippe of Derry, Sandra Tyler of Auburn, NH, Royann Martin of Tamworth, NH, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, her brother, Raymond Seubert of Peoria, IL, also many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Monday November 8th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Portsmouth/Derry/Salem Home Health and Hospice Services, 15R East Broadway, Derry, NH 03038.
