Leo L. Demanche, 83, of Manchester died April 22, 2014 at his residence after an ongoing illness.
He was born in Nashua on January 10, 1931, the son of Henry and Rose (Obin) Demanche. He was educated in the Nashua school system.
Prior to retirement, he had worked as a machinist at Kalwall Corporation for many years.
Leo had a passion for woodworking and carpentry. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing computer games on his tablet. Above all else, he will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed.
Family members include his wife of 57 years, Pauline (Desrosiers) Demanche of Manchester; his children, Denise Vallee and husband Roger of Pembroke, Richard Demanche and fiancee Lise Couturier of Manchester, Donna Pelletier of Pembroke, Muriel Ball and husband Ronald of Manchester, David Demanche and wife Donna of Manchester, Marc Demanche and wife Susan of Candia, Leo Demanche Jr.and wife Katie of Standish, ME; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings Henry Demanche of Hudson, Paul Demanche and wife Lorraine of Nashua, Maurice Demanche and wife Claudette of Merrimack, Horace Demanche and wife Yvette of Nashua, Raymond Demanche of Florida, Roger Demanche and wife Simonne of Auburn; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased be a daughter Priscilla Demanche and granddaughter Shayna Demanche.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Belmont St. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
