WORCESTER – Sue Hoaglund, 54, of Evelyn Street, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at the Hermitage Golden Living Center in Worcester, after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Robert S. Hoaglund of Worcester; three children, Ina Caldwell and her wife Jasmin, Melissa Spencer, and David Spencer and his wife Cindy, all of Worcester; a brother, Cody Smith of Worcester; two sisters, Maggie Kramer of Cumberland, MD, and Sandy Lagorce of Arizona; her aunt who raised her and was like a mother to her, Virginia Ashely of Worcester; her uncle, Robert C. Dyer of Worcester; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Lisa, Kayle, and Michael Spencer; several nephews and nieces, including Cody and Kristie; and many, many friend who she loved dearly. She was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, the daughter of the late Earl L. and Ina (Dyer) Smith, and lived most of her life in Worcester.
Mrs. Hoaglund graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School in 1978. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church in Worcester and attended Pernet Family Health in Worcester for many years.
A memorial calling hour will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, from 6-7 p.m. at Alfred Roy and Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the conclusion of the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date.
