Shirley “Biggy” Alegra Greene Chapman Rowley, 89, of North Stonington died peacefully at her home amongst her loved ones on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was born in Preston CT on January 18, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Flora (Baton) Greene.
She owned and operated the Owls Barn in North Stonington for many years. She was a devoted mother who loved her family.
She is survived by her children Shelley Chapman Carpenter of West Greenwich RI, Geraldine Chapman Keim of Weld ME, James Chapman of North Stonington, Clark Reynolds Chapman III of Griswold, and Robin Rowley Carey of North Stonington, as well as 15 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son Kerry Rowley of North Stonington.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 12:30pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery, North Stonington.
