Eliniere Roger Turgeon, age 87 passed away on Apr 20, 2014 at Baystate Medical center. He was born on June 24, 1926 in Canada to the late Joseph and Amanda (Carrier) Turgeon. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Parish in Holyoke. He worked for over 40 years as a Drywall Installer. Eliniere was an avid sportsman. Eliniere leaves his loving wife of 62 years Simone (Breault) Turgeon of Holyoke; three sons Julien and Yvan Turgeon both of Holyoke and Albert Turgeon and his spouse Joe Haller of VT; three daughters Marianne Blais and her husband Jean Marc of Chicopee; Carmel Goulet and her husband Jean Louis of ME and Linda Hayden and her friend Brian Poirier of Chicopee; three sisters Rhea and Helene Turgeon both of Canada and Aline Turgeon of Chicopee; eight grand children and eight great grand children. He was predeceased by four brothers and sisters also. Funeral Services will be held on Sat Apr 26, 2014 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St Rose de Lima Church. Burial will follow in St Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. Visiting Hours will be held on Fri Apr 25, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
