LAWRENCE - Jorge E. Ariza, 79 of Lawrence passed away Monday April 21, 2014 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in the Dominican Republic and worked as a engineer topographer before moving to the Lawrence area later in his life with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia (Mejia) Ariza of Lawrence, MA. Jorge also leaves his children, Altagracia Ligia, Camilo, Clara, and Belkys Ariza, Jennifer Nunez, Jose Mena, Yoel Rivas and Richard Figari.
Grandchildren, Jose Miguel, Sabell, Erica, Fidel, George, Prince, Eira, Richard and Amanda Ariza.
Jorge also also survived by his brother and sisters, Jose Daniel Ariza and Daysi Gonzalez and Auara Manzur.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be Wednesday 4:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
