Armand D. Talbot, 90, of Goffstown, died April 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester November 2, 1923 to Joseph and Lydia (Remillard) Talbot. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester and Goffstown.
Armand established Dickie Boy Canteen in 1950, after the birth of his son Richard in 1949. He then established Talbot Caterers which he owned and operated until 1969. He also worked at Hillsborough County Court House; served on the NH State Legislature; and held a real estate broker’s license for 20 years.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5260.
Armand was an avid golfer and bowler. He also loved the Red Sox, nature and politics.
He leaves his wife of 69 years, Therese M. (Bernier) Talbot of Goffstown; two children, Richard A. Talbot and his wife, Kathleen, of Manchester and Denise Geer and her husband, Nessly, of Gilmanton; five grandchildren, Kimberly Lavallee, Shannon Fawaz, Ryan Talbot, Brett Geer and Cole Geer; four great grandchildren, Alex, Jordan, Kaitlin and Laine; three sisters, Loretta Bouffard of Hooksett, Rosamond Delisle of Manchester, and Rita Bagg of Bedford; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three siblings, Romeo Talbot, Conrad Talbot, and Blanche Uhry.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church. Committal prayers followed at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
