
WAYLAND: Mary Evelyn (Gleason) Paris, 98, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 17, 2014 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston on November 27, 1915 the daughter of the late Herbert Gleason and Victoria (Boucher) Gleason.
She was the loving wife for 68 years of the late David Charles Paris who died on May 23, 2010.
Mary is survived by her beloved daughters Joann M. Tierney and her husband Thomas P. Tierney of Framingham and Donna L. Goshgarian of Danbury, CT. Mary was the cherished grandmother of Mark S. Goshgarian an his wife Jennifer M. Goshgarian of Jamestown, NY; Christine M. Woltag and her husband Robert Woltag of Wilmington; Brian D. Tierney and his wife Camille Tierney of Albuquerque, N.M.; Linda Tierney of Meriden, CT and Jennifer L. Colabatistto and her husband John Colabatistto of New Milford, CT. Also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Paris had been a resident of Wayland for over 47 years and was also a resident of Heritage in Framingham for several years. She spent her formative years in Hyde Park where she raised her daughters. She enjoyed the outdoors and traveling with her husband throughout Canada and Florida and to the Balsam’s in New Hampshire. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family.
There will be no funeral home visitations. Family and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 124 Cochituate Road (Rte 27), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Paris family lot in North Cemetery, Wayland.
