Margaret “Peggy” T. Allen, 88, of Norfolk, died April 20 in the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the wife of the late Arthur Keenan, who died in 2002.
Born in Norfolk, March 5, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Hayes) Allen, Mrs. Keenan was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
She was a graduate of Walpole High School.
Mrs. Keenan had been a chemist at Bird & Sons in Norwood and had worked in the cafeteria of the Norfolk Elementary School.
Peggy loved to bake and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her sons, Lt. Springfield F.D. Daniel J. Keenan of Springfield and Patrick J. Keenan and his wife Denise of Norfolk.
She was the sister of the late Ann M. Allen, John Allen and M. Florence Doucette.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 26, from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street Franklin at 9:00 followed by a funeral mass in St. Jude’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in Norfolk Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-7.
