Moonie Ramchand, 45, of Charlton, passed away Friday, April 18th in his home, after a long illness. He leaves two sons, Randy and Chris Ramchand of Minnesota; his parents, Ram and Manoo (Prashad) Ramchand of Worcester; a brother, Sharma Ramchand of Charlton; a sister, Patty Ramchand of Worcester; nephews and nieces.
He was born in Guyana, and moved here in 1979. Moonie graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He was a machine technician at Astra Pharmaceuticals for more than 22 years, before retiring in 2008 due to his illness. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
The funeral is Thursday, April 24th beginning at 9:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Cremation will follow in All Faiths Crematory, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 23rd in the funeral home.
