Obituary

LACONIA – David Louis Olewine, 83, of 298 Darby Drive, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 in his home.

He was born on June 8, 1930 in Kearny, New Jersey, the son of George and Dorothy (Shope) Olewine. He served in the USAF from 1951 to 1955. David was the owner and operator of Dave’s Sunoco and also Cornwell Tools. He also worked for Napa Auto Parts in Laconia. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.

He is survived by his son, Dwight Olewine and his wife Mary of Laconia, one brother, Melvin Olewine of Clarksville, Tennessee, two grandchildren; Timothy and Rebecca, two nieces and two nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan Olewine in 2006.

There will be no calling hours.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10AM on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Bayside Cemetery in Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, 780 North Main St, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
