Miss Rita D. McIsaac, age 90, a former resident of West Roxbury, died on October 31, 2004, at the Spring House Assisted Living Complex in Jamaica Plain.
Born in Boston, Miss McIsaac grew up in the Dorchester section of Boston surrounding St. Peter's Church. She attended St. Peter's School and went on to graduate from the Boston Clerical School.
She was the retired personnel for the New England Regional of the Corps. of Army Engineers. She retired after 30 years of service in the early 1980's.
Miss McIsaac was a resident of West Roxbury for 70 years, untill relocating to the Spring House 4 years ago.
She was a long time parishoner of St. Theresa's Parish and was a member of the Parish's "Theresian's" Womens Group.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 5th at 10 AM in St. Theresa's Chapel. Burial will follow in the McIsaac family plot at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Visitation will be held Friday morning prior to mass from 8:30-9:30AM at the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury.
Miss McIsaac is survived by a niece, Joan M. Bacon of Millis, and two nephews, John D. Sullivan of Salem, NH, and Richard K. Sullivan of West Roxbury. She was the daughter of the late Angus and Martina (McDonald) McIsaac and the sister of the late Mary, Anna, and John McIsaac, and Helen Sullivan.
