Diane L. LaPlante, 71, a lifelong Derry resident passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1942 in Derry, NH a daughter of the late Arthur L. and E. Irene (Eddy) Morrill. Diane was actively involved with the Derry community. She enjoyed volunteering with the Derry Senior Center, Special Olympics and all around the town. She will be remembered for her willingness to always lend a hand to anyone in need. She was well loved by many.
She is survived by her two sisters, Brenda Hastings and her husband Dave and Barbara Whitcraft, all of Derry, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; several great grandnieces and great grandnephews, as well as one uncle, Robert Eddy and his wife Claire of Chester.
There are no calling hours. Private burial will be at a later date in the Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry.
